Terms of Service
1. Services
Kelly Van Duine Tutoring provides online academic tutoring, writing support, college essay coaching, and related writing & editing services.
Tutoring services are intended only to support your student's learning, writing development, and reading comprehension. Students remain responsible for completing their own coursework and submitting all assignments.
2. Academic Integrity
Students are expected to complete their own academic work.
Tutoring services may include:

Instruction and explanation

Brainstorming and idea development

Writing feedback and editing suggestions

Study skills
Tutoring services will not include:

Completing assignments for students
-
Writing essays on behalf of students

Taking exams or quizzes
-
Engaging in any form of academic dishonesty

Plagiarism
3. Scheduling
Sessions are scheduled by mutual agreement.
Clients are responsible for arriving on time for scheduled tutoring sessions, and late arrival by a student may reduce the time available for that scheduled session.
4. Payment
Payment is due before or at the time of the tutoring session unless otherwise agreed.
Accepted payment methods include:

Venmo

Zelle
-
Other approved payment method as discussed with me'
Failure to submit payment may result in suspension of services until payment is received.
5. Cancellation Policy
Students or parents may cancel or reschedule a session within 24 hours of the tutoring session.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged up to the full session fee.
No-shows may be charged the full session fee.
Exceptions may be made for emergencies at the tutor's discretion.
6. Refund Policy
Completed tutoring sessions are generally non-refundable.
If a prepaid package is offered, any refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
7. Communication with Minors
For students under 18 years of age, parents or legal guardians are encouraged to participate in scheduling, payment, and communication regarding tutoring services.
8. No Guarantees
While every effort is made to help students improve their skills, I make no guarantees regarding:

Grades
-
Test scores
-
College admissions decisions
-
Academic outcomes
Individual results vary based on student effort, attendance, and other factors outside the tutor's control.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kelly Van Duine Tutoring shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of my services.
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the tutoring services giving rise to the claim.
10. Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Service may be updated periodically. Continued use of my tutoring services constitutes acceptance of the most current revised terms.
